Project Grizzly (1996)

not quite as fun as all the fuss around it would make it seem, but definitely interesting. when he walks through his dad’s indian village it gave things a little more universal feel - he comes from a lineage of eccentrics, and it seemed more a subculture at that point than a lone nut. he also seemed like the dude from american movie when he talked about his fear of being average. and since i also made a robot suit and got people to help me run around in it, he seemed like one of my kind.
it also was kind of interesting as a picture of modern masculinity. there was a lot of posturing on the expedition, and that vietnam story was just absurd - they had to invent danger in nam?
the montage of the old suits was great. that really made me laugh.
