this was a bit of a chore to watch, not just the first necessarily painful act, but even once they hit the road and aim for exploitation. even with some compelling leads i got tired of watching. its intentions were far too clear and made the story’s progression tiresome, the soundtrack was awful, and well everything else. i do appreciate its comment of internalized masculine ideals of anger and liberty. but ultimately, like i said, this is a chore to get through, and it’s too in love with its own images of babes drinking and fucking then mowing down a room like chow yun-fat. i would like to see it re-done by a more capable director.
