i half-watched this on my computer while playing wii golf so not ideal i guess. mostly i was confused by the soundtrack and why they tried for some sort of retro-funk theme. wasn’t that already played? anyways, the scenes i laughed most at were: cera and his asian partner in home ec; ‘these eyes’; and ‘you’ll meet her’. the last two i think kind of highlight my other confusion at the movie. it’s definitely in some sort of other reality with a lot of weird stuff happening, but these 2 jokes would have been way funnier if there had been a certain amount of realness to these scenes.
and i guess i was also annoyed at how articulate and in touch with their feelings these teenagers are. they kind of whacked us in the face with their messages and that turned me off a bit too.
